How do I get museum passes online?

Discover & Go provides instant online access to free and low-cost tickets to museums, science centers, zoos, theatres and other fun local cultural venues.

HOW DO I GET A PASS?

  1. Log in to your library account. Each library will have their Discover & Go program on their website. 
  2. Browse for passes by date or by venue.
  3. Make a reservation.
  4. Shortly before your visit, print out your pass. (Important info on printing and canceling: https://dganswers.discoverandgo.org/questions/29361.)

TERMS OF USE

  • Age restrictions may apply; check with your library.
  • You can have up to 2 active reservations at a time.
  • You can make reservations up to 3 months in advance.
  • Reservations can be canceled only if the pass has not been printed.
  • Some venues have placed a 1-pass-per-year restriction and you will only be able to reserve those passes once per calendar year.
    You will find details about each pass within the venue information.
  • The pass is for use only by the person named and only on the date specified. No photocopies are allowed. Valid ID is required.

Can I cancel an active Discover & Go reservation if I have not yet printed the pass? 

You can cancel a pass, ONLY if you have not clicked on the "Print/Download" button and agreed to the warning that passes cannot be cancelled after viewing or printing. Library staff cannot cancel passes for you. Passes cannot be canceled after the fact.

We recommend you do not print your pass until right before your reservation. That way, you always have the option to cancel reservations yourself, should your plans change.

To cancel a pass, login to your Discover & Go account and click on Cancel Pass.

PLEASE NOTE: You should cancel your pass if you are not going to attend. Otherwise, once the date passes, the system will count it as a used pass.

When are Discover & Go passes for a new month available? 

New passes are visible on the 1st day of the current month. Available passes for the next three months can then be seen

For example, on October 1, available passes for the months of October, November, and December are visible. Although the passes for October and November may have already been reserved, new passes will appear for December. 

If passes for the current month are not available you can still check for those periodically too, as other users sometimes cancel their Discover & Go reservation, thus making a pass available again.

You can see which attractions are available by logging in to your participating library's Discover & Go site and selecting the "All Attractions" view on the top menu.

How many Discover & Go passes can I reserve?

You can have two active reservations at a time. 

For example, if you make a reservation for a visit next month and another reservation for a visit this Saturday, you can make a new reservation as soon as your Saturday visit is complete. 

Having two active reservations will block you from making additional bookings for future dates.

Should I cancel my pass if I'm not going to attend?

You should cancel your Discover & Go pass if you are not going to attend. Otherwise, once the date passes the system will count it as a used pass. This also frees up the pass for availability to others.

How do I cancel and reschedule a Discover & Go reservation?

To cancel and reschedule your reservation for a specific attraction, take the following steps:

  • Log in to your Discover & Go account
  • Click on the "My Reservations" link
  • Click on the "Cancel Reservation" button
  • Go back to the "All Attractions" view and immediately reschedule your reservation for an alternate date

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot cancel a reservation if you have already clicked on the "print/download" button. We strongly recommend not clicking the "print/download" button until right before your visit. That way, you always have the option to cancel.

How can I print my Discover & Go pass from my mobile device, smart phone, or tablet?

If you don't own a printer, you can come into your local library and ask staff to help you print your Discover & Go pass.

How do I print my Discover & Go pass?

Your Discover & Go pass can only be printed by using the green "Print/Download" button within your Discover & Go account:

  • Log in to your account from your participating library's website
  • Choose an attraction and a date and then click on the green "Reserve" button to make a reservation
  • Click "View Pass" button when ready to print 

You cannot print from your browser's print option, nor from the "Ctrl+P" keyboard shortcut.

NOTE: You cannot cancel your reservation once the "Print/Download" button has been clicked. We recommend not printing your pass until right before you visit the attraction. That way, you can cancel if necessary.

Can I use Discover & Go with an eCard?

No. eCards only provide access to a few of our services and do not include Discover & Go. You'll need to get a regular full-access library card.

Who do I contact if I have questions regarding my Discover & Go reservation?

Please reach out to staff at your local participating library. DO NOT contact the participating Discover & Go attractions directly.

Can I use my Discover & Go pass on a different day than the reservation date?

No. If you decide to go on a different date, you must cancel your existing reservation, then make a new reservation for any other available date. NOTE: You cannot cancel your reservation if you have already printed/downloaded your pass. Do not print/download your pass until right before you plan to visit the attraction, in case your plans change.

Will I receive email notification of my reservation?

Yes, you should receive a confirmation via email shortly after you make a reservation. If you do not receive this email, please insure the email address you have provided is correct and up to date. Please also check your Spam settings to allow reception of emails from: no-reply@acorn.quipugroup.net.

You will not receive a cancellation notification should you decide to cancel your reservation.

Can the Discover & Go website translate into other languages?

Yes. On the login page for Discover & Go, click on the "Select Language" pull-down menu near the top of the page and choose the language you want to translate into.
